Start of a Journey
Hello, I am Elifko.
After realizing my potential in visual design and completing my education at Kocaeli Fine Arts High School and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department, I lectured visual arts for a while in different establishments, up until the point that I decided to pave my own path in the world of art.
My main practice is to paint mixed technique portraits regarding the topic of social media and its reflections on human relations in society.
I am currently working in my personal art studio in Istanbul, Üsküdar.
Details Are Everything
Within the context of my artworks, I greatly care about life-like details and successful reflection of emotions.
Objects and elements included in the portraits may look like separate entities at first, coming together as the story unfolds and everything ties together at the end.
It is always a great joy to see viewers catch these details and interpret them compared to their own experiences.
Physical Thread
Adding an extra layer of detail, I use textile and sewing techniques on canvas as a means of creating a physical connection between reality and fiction.
